Oracle Sound has released its second guitar amp simulator: SLAMP. A free snapshot version, LittleSLAMP, is also available.
SLAMP was designed for nasty, heavy, aggressive sounds, without having to spend an entire afternoon fiddling with menus, IRs, or a massive signal processing chain. That’s how Jay from Oracle Sound describes it.
To celebrate the release, SLAMP is available at a special introductory price of €41.38 (instead of €51.91).
Just as there is a free snapshot version of Oracle Sound's first amp sim, SVARTRUNA, SLAMP has one too: LittleSLAMP.
So what can both versions do?
Both SLAMP and LittleSLAMP deliver a brutal slamming death metal tone.

- Stereo Processing
- Advanced Tone Shaping Options
- 3 Cabs to Choose From
- 20 Factory Presets
- 4 Pedals and Blending Options
- Lifetime license with free updates
SLAMP
- Amp Simulation: SLAMP doesn’t offer a selection of different classic amp models; instead, it provides a single, highly specialized simulation designed for an extreme “slamming death metal” sound. The tone is described as “dense,” “relentless,” and like “wet concrete.”
- Pedals & Preamp: No individual, freely combinable pedal effects (such as chorus, delay, etc.) are included. Instead, the distortion and preamp are fixed for maximum brutality (“9 stages of relentless gain” is a feature of the related SVARTRUNA engine on which SLAMP is based, though SLAMP is specifically tailored to the “slam” sound).
- Effects & Processing: The focus is on shaping the extreme core sound. This includes built-in tools such as a noise gate and a tuner. Sound shaping is achieved via specific controls for Attack, Weight, and Tightness to achieve the typical “slam” sound, rather than through classic EQ sections or modulation effects.
- Formats & Usage: The plugin is available as VST3, AU, and AAX and includes a standalone application. It does not require an iLok and does not require a subscription (one-time purchase).
- Target Audience: The tool is aimed exclusively at producers and guitarists specifically looking for extreme metal sounds and is not intended for clean channels or light rock sounds (“You won’t find yourself rolling back your volume knob and playing some blues riffs”).
