Now that Steven Atkinson and tone3000 have released the new architecture (A2) for the Neural Amp Modeler, all third-party vendors are also upgrading their plugins to the latest neural modeling technology, NAM A2. This includes Dusty Plugins with its guitar simulator software “Duste Tube,” which is now available in version 2.
The first version of Dusty Tube was available not only for Windows but also for macOS. Since there were apparently installation issues with macOS in V1, Version 2 is now available only for Windows as a standalone application and as a VST3 plugin.
According to the manufacturer, Dusty Tube 2 was designed with a focus on a simple and intuitive user interface.
Basic functions include the NAM Loader, the IR Loader (two IRs can be loaded for the left and right channels), and the 2 pedals.
Dusty Tube 2 also features effects such as compression, tremolo, chorus, vibrato, delay, and reverb (room/spring).
Of course, presets can also be saved and managed.
In the settings, you can choose between “Vintage” and “Modern” for the layout. This gives you two different visual styles.
