New Plugin | Hell Yes Loop Lab - Burning Stones Amp Plugin

Published: 24.06.2026

Burning Stones is a free Guitar Amp plugin from Hell Yes Loop Lab, designed as a “fictional high-gain desert amp.” It does not model any specific hardware amp, but instead aims to deliver a distinctive, physical sound that responds dynamically to your playing.

The plugin is available on a “pay-what-you-want” basis (so it can also be downloaded for free) and features exactly one amplifier character (a “fictional head”).

There is no choice between different amplifier models (such as “Clean,” “Crunch,” “Lead,” or replicas of well-known brands). The entire sound is focused on this one specific high-gain signature (“desert amp”), which can be shaped solely by the controls (Gain, Power, Feel) and the 5 different cabinets.

It was first published on June 24, 2026.

Key Features & Sound Character

The plugin is characterized by the following features:

  • Sound Profile: Designed for heavy riffs, desert rock, stoner sounds, fuzz-heavy leads, and experimental guitar layers. The sound is intended to be “dusty,” heavy, and lively, rather than perfectly clean.
  • Dynamic Behavior: Features a reactive sag function and a power-stage feel, where the amp compresses, distorts, and breaks up at high input levels.
  • No External IRs Required: Includes five built-in cabinet simulations, so there’s no need to load external impulse responses (custom IRs cannot be loaded).
  • Presets: Includes 11 factory presets (e.g., “Desert Ritual,” “Sunbleach”) as well as the ability to save your own presets. There are also A/B/C snapshot slots for quickly comparing sounds.

Controls & Cabinets

The interface offers a clear structure for shaping the sound:

Amp Controls

  • Input: Controls how much the guitar drives the amp (triggers compression).
  • Gain: Controls the preamp distortion (from mild overdrive to saturation).
  • Power: Affects how the power amp and speakers respond (controls “sag”).
  • Feel: Changes the playing response from tight and direct to mushy and compressed.
  • Tone: Classic EQ section with bass, mid, and treble.
  • Output: Final volume control.

Built-in Cabinet Types

  • Main 57+121: Balanced cabinet sound.
  • Bright 57: More direct and brighter.
  • Doom Room: The go-to sound for heavy, dark tones.
  • Doom Bloom: Bigger and thicker than the Doom Room.
  • Doom Edge: Similar character to the Doom Room, but with more definition.

Installation & System Requirements

The plugin is provided as a manual download without an installer:
