New Bass Sim | Saint Mike DSP - Abyssos Bass Amp (FREE and PRO)

Published: 30.08.2026

Saint Mike DSP has developed three guitar amp simulations so far. Now they're adding a bass amp simulation called Abyssos Bass Amp. This plugin is available in both a free and a Pro version.

The Abyssos Bass Amp series combines a complete bass rig signal path:
Pre-Pedal-Dynamik → Amp-Head → Cabinet → 9-Band-EQ → Post-FX.

Formats: VST3, AU, AAX - for Windows and macOS.

Abyssos Bass Amp (free)

  • Amp Head: ΒΥΘΟΣ (Bythos) – a full-range tube head with Gain, Bass, Mid (sweepable 200 Hz–1.6 kHz), Treble, and Output
  • Pre-Pedals: ΠΙΕΣΗ Compressor, ΦΘΟΡΑ Fuzz
  • Cabinet: 3 pre-tuned cabinet models
  • EQ: 9-band graphic EQ (31 Hz – 8 kHz, ±12 dB)
  • Post-FX: ΔΙΝΗ Chorus (BBD-style, with crossover)
  • Utilities: Noise gate, mono-safe spread widener, global blend with delay compensation, built-in visual tuner

Abyssos Bass Amp Pro (Paid)

Everything from the free version, plus:

  • ΑΒΥΣΣΟΣ Amp-Head: Heavy Head (Gain, Tone, Output) for Doom/Sludge
  • ΜΕΣΟΠΕΛΑΓΟΣ Amp-Head: Clean/High-Headroom Head for Post-Punk & Articulated Bass
  • ΟΚΤΑΒΑ Octaver: Mono octaver with Sub, Up, and Dry (no tracking delay)
  • ΗΧΩ Space: Combined delay/reverb engine with tempo sync, ping-pong, and tape wear
  • 6 Cabinet Models + User IR Loader: Load Your Own Impulse Responses
  • Pro Quality Mode: Higher anti-aliasing oversampling for cleaner harmonics at high gain
  • 50 presets: Built-in preset manager with A/B comparison

Target Audience

Both versions are designed for bassists, producers, and sound engineers who want to create a complete, mixable bass sound in their DAW from a DI recording—ranging from clean/articulated to mid-drive to heavy doom/sludge. The Free version is designed as a full-featured plugin (not a demo); the Pro version expands on it with additional amp characters, the Octaver, the delay/reverb engine, and an IR loader for professional productions.
