Genome 2.0 is a comprehensive update to the amp-modeling software, released in June 2026. It is not just an incremental improvement, but a redefinition of the platform with a focus on cross-platform use, more realistic amp capture, and expanded controls.

New Core Features and Technologies


1. AmpNet and ParadeX Module

The most significant technical innovation is the introduction of AmpNet technology. Unlike conventional static captures (such as NAM), AmpNet enables multi-parametric models. 

  • ParadeX Component: This new module plays back AmpNet captures. It not only reproduces a static sound but also simulates the amplifier’s response across the entire control range of gain, tone control, and other parameters. 
  • Advantage: This bridges the gap between classic profiling and flexible modeling, offering a more dynamic, interactive playing experience that is closer to real tube amplifiers.


2. Two notes Capture Studio

Alongside the software, Capture Studio—a free standalone application—was released. 

  • Users can use it to integrate their own amplifiers into the Genome ecosystem.
  • It supports both the creation of static NAM captures for the existing CodeX engine and the new multi-parametric AmpNet models for ParadeX. 


3. Mixfit Block and Global Transpose

Two additional handy features have been added to speed up your workflow

  • Mixfit Block: A new tool that lets you quickly optimize presets to make them “mix-ready.” It helps shape guitar and bass sounds to be more compact and punchy. 
  • Global Transpose: Allows you to transpose the entire rig in real time by up to 24 semitones up or down.  This is especially useful for quickly switching between different tunings without having to rebuild the rig.


4. Expanded TSM-Ai Amplifier Range

The library of in-house TSM-Ai amplifier models has been significantly expanded. New models cover a wide spectrum, ranging from clean setups (based on the Fender Twin Reverb and Vox AC30) to modern high-gain sounds (Soldano SLO-100, Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier) and specific bass applications (Ampeg SVT).


Platform Extensions and Availability


iPad Compatibility (Genome iOS)

A major milestone for the software is full support for the iPad. 

  • This is not a limited mobile version, but a full-featured port with the same performance and functionality as the desktop version. 
  • The user interface has been optimized for a touch-first workflow, enabling mobile production and rehearsals without compromise.


Cross-Platform Experience

Genome 2.0 offers a unified experience across all platforms. Rigs and presets are compatible between the desktop version (Windows/macOS) and the new iOS version. 


Versions and Prices

With this update, Two Notes has adjusted its product structure to make it easier to get started:


1. Genome Intro:

  • A free version for desktop and iOS.
  • It offers a complete rig-building environment and serves as an entry point into the ecosystem. A Two Notes account is required for registration. 

2. Genome (Standard):

  • The full version with the complete feature set of the stock configuration.
  • Price: approx. €129.99 (or $). 

3. Genome Suite:

  • The most comprehensive version with additional components, a larger DynIR library, and advanced features.
  • Owners of compatible Two notes hardware (e.g., Captor X+, Reload II) often receive additional content or upgrades.


The software runs as a plugin (VST, AU, AAX) or in a standalone version. Existing open-source profiles such as NAM, AIDA-X, and Proteus continue to be supported via the CodeX block.
